Back to School Lingo 

  • EEPTO Website: Check back August 1st for your one stop shop for getting ready for school! Shop our Spiritwear Store, Donate to our Family Giving Campaign (all donations stay right here at EE!), Grab Mustang Mixer Tickets (our first event of the year!), and sign up for some volunteer positions!

  • Kinder Playdates - (Incoming Kinder) The PTO hosts 3 summer playdates for all incoming kinder students! Come by and meet some of your new classmates in a relaxed setting, and get to check out the Eanes Elementary Playground. Come to one or all three! Siblings Welcome.

  • Teacher Assignments - Your student's teacher assignment will be posted to your skyward account 8/15. After you receive your assignment make sure to log on to EEPTO.com and update your student info so you can stay in the loop with classroom communication!

  • Kindergarten Meet the Teacher/ Back to School - (Incoming Kinder Parents) This is a PARENT ONLY event. Parents will get a chance to meet your new Kinder teacher, see your child's classroom, and learn what to expect on the first day of school!

  • New Family Reception: Are you new to Eanes Elementary? Stop by the Library before Meet the Teacher to get a chance to meet Principal Ryan and PTO President Whitney Braden. Come with any questions you may have before you head off to see your classroom! 

  • Meet the Teacher: (All Grades) - Students, Parents, and siblings welcome! This is your opportunity meet your teacher, see your classroom, tour the school, and sign up for classroom volunteer opportunities. Families who pre-ordered school supplies can stop by the gym to pick them up and all families can pick up some Mustang Swag at our SpiritWear store!

  • Back to School Parent Orientation: (Grades 1-5) Back to school typically occurs the second week of classes. Parents with students in grades 1-5 are invited to meet their child's classroom teacher, learn about what to expect from this school year, and get a peek inside their classroom. Kindergarten parents receive this information at "Kinder Meet the Teacher" before the beginning of school. 

 

Volunteer Training: All Parents who plan to volunteer this year must attend Volunteer Training. If you are unable to make it in person, just email Principal Ryan, LRyan@eanesisd.net, for a recording!

Back To School Checklist

  1. Join the PTO! If you have not signed up Click here for More Info! Joining the PTO will give you access to volunteer, purchase spiritwear, donate, and stay in the loop with Mustang community events! If you have your teacher assignments please update your student info - this helps to insure you get the communication that is important to your classroom!

  2. Mark your Calendar with back to school dates! We know the first week feels like a lot, please reach out with any questions! EanesPto@gmail.com

  3. Donate toward the EEPTO Family Giving Campaign! We can only serve our students and teachers with the help of our community! Donate today at a level that is right for you!

  4. Purchase Spiritwear! Send your Mustang back to school in style - and pick up some adult styles for yourself!

  5. Save the Date - Mustang Mixer - Our first event of the year is September 14! Tickets will go on sale soon, you don't want to miss this one!

  6.  Do you still need to purchase school supplies? Click here for lists by grade! Bring all your supplies to Meet the Teacher, August 17, and turn them in to your teachers. Most supplies are community use, so no need to purchase personalized items. Did you order supplies through PTO? We will have them ready for you to pick up in the gym at Meet the Teacher.

  7. Volunteer! School-wide positions will open August 1st- Class specific positions will become available when teacher assignments are made. We love to get as many hands on deck as possible, so please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. 

  8. Keep your eyes peeled for Principal Ryan's first newsletters - they will have details on car drop off and pick up instructions. Riding the bus? See your route here!

  9. Update SmartTag with your default dismissal for the year.
